"Probably no pointer bitch of the present day has been more successful than
"Molton Broom",
whose chief progeny, by
"Saddleback", are
"Molton Banner", "Molton Brake", "Molton Bronte", "Sandford Bang", "Sandford Quince", "Sandford Revel", "Beau o'the Border", and "Heather Graphic", all of which have gained their laurels in high class company."
-- R.Lee, 1893
""Molton Banner", an imported dog, by "Saddleback", out of "Molton Bloom", had a very successful show career during the years from 1895 to 1897. He was a large liver and white dog, with a most beautifully molded head, but he was too thick in shoulders to please the practical sportsman. This defect, however, did not deter him from becoming a quick champion. Although he was a very popular dog on the benches during these years referred to he failed absolutely as a sire and it was said that the dog was impotent."
-- Hochwalt, 1911
